How lucky to be a client of Donna Sherry! She has a real sense of design and color and makes wonderful use of space. Donna anticipates your every need and her confidence in her work makes her very special —the results have been very effective. She designed a home and an apartment for me and was very cost-conscious. In both cases, Donna was able to make use of my furniture plus adding a few new accessories. Both projects were completed very efficiently, and the results were beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend her talents and her good judgment. — Linda Lese

A client once said when you walk into one of the homes that I have designed it feels like the rooms have always been that way. In other words, my rooms feel lived in. They are colorful and cozy and express with style, they reflect the interests and personality of the family living there.

I have been the owner of my own interior design firm for more than thirty-five years. I emphasize function first and then create a space that enhances what is already happening in that space. I love to create custom built-ins that add a wonderful dimension to a room while giving you exactly the storage you need. I also believe it is very important to include the client in the entire design process, guiding them through — from the initial floor planning stage to the color scheme and the furniture, fabrics, and other selections.

Donna M. Sherry Interior Design is a full-service interior design business managing all aspects of the project from planning, ordering, and finally overseeing the installation. I’ve completed projects from Park Avenue and Sutton Place apartments in New York City to many homes in Westchester and Fairfield counties.

In addition, I work with an incredibly talented group of craftsmen who ultimately make the creative vision a reality in your home. My attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the process will be as seamless as possible.

Working within a client’s budget and getting the most a client can for that money is a key part of my process. There is no initial consultation fee, but there is an initial design fee that is then credited to your final invoice.

I began my education at Northwestern University where they offered interior design courses. I decided to major in art history instead and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated magna cum laude in 1977. Continuing my interior design education with a degree from The Parsons School of Design in 1979, I then passed my NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) exam in 1983 and have been a professional ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) member ever since.

Let’s talk about your project!
